“We’ve stayed at the Abner three times now, and it has consistently been a wonderful experience. The rooms are spacious and the beds are so comfortable. The staff is welcoming, responsive and kind - you can send a text if you need anything and they respond in less than 5 minutes. The Court Room restaurant is great (the lava cake dessert is so good), and the breakfast is my favorite part. Stephanie runs the show in the morning, warmly welcoming each guest and providing a different spread of delicious food (frittatas, freshly baked muffins, etc). You can sit by the fireplace and drink coffee and read…It’s the perfect place to relax and slow down a bit. We love the Abner and will keep coming back!”

“Stayed at the Abner while in town to celebrate a friend’s 60th bday. From the kindness and hospitality over the phone to checking in to having drinks…the staff was some of the friendliest people I’ve ever met, the hotel was on point from ambience to an interior design and the room was more than adequate! Would definitely stay here again.”

“The front desk staff was on point! They all three (over different shifts) made my stay so incredibly wonderful, working with me in a very professional manner to accommodate a request I had. They were excellent representatives of a great business model. (And thank you, Shannon!) Breakfast, with Stephanie presiding, was a warm and welcoming experience that included the interesting origin story of The Abner, as well as a download of local history. This was my second stay here and it has only gotten better with time. I look forward to a return visit in the Spring. (And shout out to the bartender for the delicious Abner Gimlet!)”

“Staying at the Abner is a sheer delight, especially the Abner team. They learn your name and greet you by your name at every touch point. They remember your coffee preference at breakfast. The rooms are comfortable and welcoming. There are no TV’s in the rooms which encourage you to enjoy socializing in both the hotel and the wider Litchfield . In the summer there is a roof top bar. Looking forward to my next stay at the Abner”

“Delightful weekend at this boutique hotel in the quaint village of Litchfield. Great location with fine dining and luxury boutiques nearby. The room was spacious with a fireplace, unique art and a bathroom that was previously the vault of the historic courthouse . The rooftop bar was perfect with the sushi menu. The breakfast was yummy with homemade quiche and was included in the room rate. The staff was exceptional. Highly recommend.”

“The Abner is a lovely, beautiful and fun getaway perfectly located in Litchfield CT. Our three generation family had a great time on a cozy winter weekend. We had an excellent dinner at The Courtroom and the included breakfast buffet was delicious. The hotel staff couldn’t have been more accommodating, professional and thoughtful. We’ll definitely come back.”

“Great location. Shopping and multiple restaurants/bars within a short stroll. The hotel itself was great. The staff were great. While I didn't eat in The Courtroom, I did have cocktails and those were great. Free parking also. The room was clean. The pillows were amazing. I need to call and find out what they were because it was legit the best pillow of my life. You can use Hyatt points or book via Hyatt to stay here. Honestly the perfect hotel for a 24 hour getaway in Connecticut. Sadly I didn't take many photos. But I have a video of the exterior when we drove away and for some reason I took a picture of the fancy toilet paper stamp...but just imagine how nice everything else was when I'm snapping photos of the TP...”
